Automatic spill barriers

This barrier is a modification of our BD manual spill barrier. It has been designed to act only as a barrier in emergency use.

It is activated by an automatic alarm signal (central fire alarm, smoke detector, liquid sensor, etc.) or manually via pushbuttons. Once it has been closed, pressurised-gas cylinders and pneumatic clamps automatically keep it locked in place.

This technology allows the system to operate completely autonomously (i.e. without remote control).

This configuration is a further development of our basic manual-type BHV. As with the BD auto, it has been designed exclusively for use as an emergency barrier.

Activation is via an automatic alarm signal (central fire alarm, smoke detector, etc.), but it can also be triggered manually by pressing a pushbutton. Once it has been closed, pressurised-gas cylinders and pneumatic clamps automatically keep it locked in place.

The BHV spill barrier can also be modified to include an external energy option (via compressed air or transformer). A version designed for use and explosion-hazard zones is also available as an option.
