IBS manual spill barriers
IBS spill-retention systems are based on a technology similar to that used with our stoplog closures and flood-defence barriers. They quickly block and seal off building openings to prevent the release into the environment of substances likely to pollute water.
The system basically consists of two components: its end profiles, which can be installed in or in front of the building opening. A flexible floor seal closes off the contact area. A vertical clamp presses down on the system.
Designed for fast deployment and ease of operation, with a special seal that compensates for uneven ground - IBS spill-retention systems are characterised by their high degree of flexibility. Our in-house design department and own production facilities allow us to adapt even more to your individual requirements.

BS - push-in barrier
The barrier is taken out of storage whenever it is required, and pushed into the two supporting brackets. Activation of the fast-acting clamps places horizontal and vertical pressure on the seal and locking mechanism of the body of the barrier.
The push-in barrier can be erected in front of or inside the embrasure.
BS stap - stackable push-in barrier
The technology used with the BS stap barrier is based on that of the simple BS barrier. In the event of an emergency, the barriers are arranged according to the order of the wall fixing elements, and pushed into the two supporting brackets. Activation of the fast-acting clamps places horizontal and vertical pressure on the seal and locking mechanism of the body of the barrier.
Our BS stap barriers can likewise be fitted inside or in front of the embrasure.
BDK - rotating/folding barrier
This type of barrier is designed for large-scale use and in places where height is restricted. If an emergency occurs with this system in use, the securing clamp is released to allow the entire body of the barrier to turn and fold into its closed position. As with our other systems, actuation of the fast-acting clamp exercises pressure on the ground seal and locks the body of the barrier in position.
Larger and heavier barriers can also be fitted with an optional weight-compensation system. The support bracket then has an integrated gas tension spring.
This type of spill barrier can only be installed in front of an embrasure.
BBD - designed to rotate on both sides
In a similar manner to the BDK, the BBD is designed mainly for large-scale deployment and spaces with restricted height. If an emergency occurs, the securing clamps are released and the barriers shut one after another. The centrally located, fast-acting clamp exercises pressure on the ground seal.
This system can also be fitted with optional weight compensation.
This variant is designed for installation in front of an embrasure.
BHV - height-adjustable barrier
If an emergency arises, the securing pin is removed and a lifting shaft and cable are used to pull the barrier body along its guide rails and into the support brackets. Fast-acting clamps press the body of the barrier into place.
The barrier is UVV speed-regulated and compensated for weight.
This variant is designed for installation in front of an embrasure
BSV - swivelling, locking barrier
If an emergency occurs with this system in use, the securing clamp is released to allow the entire body to swivel into its closed position. As with our other systems, actuation of the fast-acting clamp exercises pressure on the ground seal and locks the body of the barrier in position.
This type of spill barrier can only be installed in front of an embrasure.
